The Ministry Of Eucharistic Ministers At Ssacred Heart Parish
Eucharistic Ministers are those who distribute communion at Masses celebrated here at Sacred Heart Parish. Each weekend Mass requires five eucharistic ministers to assist the celebrant. Ministers are usually scheduled once or twice a month. The term of a eucharistic minister is usually three years, but exceptions are allowed.
Eucharistic Ministers possess certain skills necessary to the ministry: an understanding of the Mass, a reverence for the Blessed Sacrament, the ability to move comfortably and confidently when serving. Confirmed Catholics are eligible to serve in this ministry. After expressing an interest in becoming a eucharistic minister and the successful completion of a training program, the Pastor is responsible for appointing you as a eucharistic minister.
