Responsibilities
The code of canon law which governs the life of the Church requires that a financial council be established in every parish to aid the pastor in the administration of parish goods. The responsibilities of the Parish Financial Council are as follows:
To assist the pastor in rendering an account of parish finances to the bishop.
To assist the pastor in rendering an account of parish finances to parishioners concerning parish receipts and expenditures.
To assist the pastor by providing counsel in administration of the parish property.
